The construction of Extrema interconnects uses wires made of ultra-pure monocrystalline copper with a cross-section of 20 AWG, obtained using OCC technology. As always in our top designs, the hot and return conductors are physically separated from each other to minimize the mutual influence of magnetic fields. Moreover, the screen was moved away from the conductors as far as possible. Thanks to these solutions, Extrema interconnects are characterized by extremely low capacity and no phase shifts.
The main dielectric of these cables is air, the best known insulator for practical use, but posing the highest challenges. To be able to use it in our cable, the conductors were placed in Teflon sheaths, but thanks to their specific spiral structure, only a few percent of them come into contact with them, so losses resulting from contact with a hard insulator are completely negligible. At the same time, the stiffness of the shields provides an excellent mechanical barrier, protecting against vibrations caused by the current flowing through the conductor. Going further, cables are shielded in several ways, depending on their dedicated application. Then another cover is created by a multi-layer lagging, whose task is to finally dampen any vibrations. Cardas SRTCA SS (RCA) and Cardas XLR plugs complete the list of sophisticated components that ensure the signal is neither degraded nor colored.

Signal cables play a particularly important role in the audio system, because the most delicate signals flow through them, which are then amplified. So every loss is also multiplied. Himalaya II keeps these losses to an absolute minimum.

In all interconnects from the Himalaya II series, the best possible conductors made of pure monocrystalline silver obtained in the OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process were used. This is a 6% gain compared to OCC copper, which has a such lower conductivity and about the same more in relation to conductors made of silver, but within the traditional technology. The dielectric of these conductors is air, the best known insulator to be used in practice, but it poses the highest challenges. In order to be able to use it in our cable, the conductors are placed in Teflon sheaths, but thanks to their specific cross-section and span structure, they are in contact with them only in a few percent, thanks to which the losses resulting from contact with the insulator are completely negligible. At the same time, the rigidity of the sheaths provides an excellent mechanical barrier, protecting against vibrations caused by the current flowing through the conductor. Going further, the cables are shielded in several ways, including broadband shielding, depending on the intended use. Then another shield is created by lagging with a multi-layer structure, whose task is to finally extinguish all vibrations. WBT Nextgen Signature (RCA) and Neutrik WT (XLR) plugs complete the list of sophisticated components to ensure that the signal does not degrade or color.

Using the appropriate class of electronics capable of generating sound perfectly detached from the loudspeakers, they surprise the listener with unprecedented palpability and fullness of the colors of the instruments, and especially the amount of air that surrounds each of them separately, also with unprecedented dynamics and sound resolution.
